I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (2009) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) (2019) both within the State of Michigan.

My expertise is working with diverse populations in the areas of adolescent and adult substance use and addiction, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, crisis management, anger management, marriage and relationship conflict, spirituality, and self-worth and self-esteem. My experience includes six years working in residential and outpatient settings with both mandated and voluntary substance abuse clients, and nine years working with clients experiencing a variety of mental health concerns.

My treatment philosophy is meeting you where you are and helping you implement a plan that empowers you to set up achievable goals designed to improve your self-esteem and mental health. I lean toward a cognitive-behavioral treatment approach, in that I believe our thinking drives our behavior based on how we interpret or feel about those thoughts. I am fully aware that our work may require engaging in other philosophies and am able to draw on other approaches as the need arises.

I have found that I am able to develop positive working relationships quickly, as I believe in approaching each individual from a non-judgmental stance. I believe you have your own answers within you and need guidance to bring them to the surface.
