Going to college isn’t just about school—it’s a major life change.

It can bring new freedom and growth, but it also comes with its own mix of anxiety, loneliness, and pressure to figure everything out. Those feelings can become overwhelming when you’re juggling so much at once—making friends, managing schoolwork, navigating identity questions, and keeping up with family or relationships back home.

It makes sense that this season feels complicated and confusing—college is about so much more than grades or a career path. It’s a time of huge transition: leaving home for the first time, learning to set boundaries, questioning what you’ve always been told, and trying to find your footing in a life that suddenly feels unfamiliar.

Maybe you’re here because…

  • Making friends feels harder than you expected, and sometimes it feels like you’ll never belong or “fit in”

  • You’re homesick but don’t want to admit it to anyone

  • Balancing classes, work, and a social life feels impossible

  • You’re so tired of overthinking every little thing

  • There’s a seemingly constant pressure to be “perfect”

  • You’re questioning your major, your goals, or even who you are

  • You’ve been coping with stress in ways that don’t feel great

  • You just want to feel more confident and less overwhelmed

How we can help

It’s okay if this season feels harder than you expected—it doesn’t mean you’re failing.

For many people, college is one of the first times they can explore who they are independently, and that can feel equal parts overwhelming and exciting. We know what it feels like to struggle with this phase of life—the loneliness, the questions, the stress—and we’re here to hold space for all of it.

In our work together, we’ll seek to understand the unique experiences you’re going through and how you can move forward in a way that feels healthy and empowering. Sometimes what looks like procrastination, burnout, or partying too hard is really about trying to cope with deeper things: feeling like an outsider or not fitting in, trauma, ADHD, anxiety, grief, or depression. These challenges can affect how you show up in class, in relationships, and even with yourself.

While we’re here to help you on an emotional and mental level, we’ll also teach you practical tools that support your success as a student.

This includes things like:

  • Time management

  • Setting boundaries with friends or family

  • Handling anxiety during exams

  • Improving focus

  • Building routines that work for you

It’s important to us that you feel supported in both your mental health and your ability to navigate the day-to-day challenges of college life.

FAQs

  • Yes, and not just on a surface level. We can help you unpack what’s really behind the stress—perfectionism, pressure, ADHD, burnout—and build realistic tools that actually work for you (not just another productivity hack).

  • Absolutely. College is a time of self-reflection, growth, and discovering who you are—and that includes exploring your gender, sexuality, and identity. We’re a queer-owned, LGBTQIA+ affirming practice, you don’t have to explain or justify who you are—we get it, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

  • That’s really common. Therapy is about you, not what anyone else thinks you should be working on. Even if you’re not totally sure why you’re here, we’ll meet you with curiosity and respect.

  • That’s totally normal. You don’t have to come in with everything figured out. Your therapist will help guide the conversation and create space for you to process whatever’s showing up—even if it’s messy or hard to name.
