My goal is to help you uncover the answers you already carry inside so you can build the life you want (and deserve).

Have you been through some tough stuff? Maybe one big trauma… or a whole collection of them that decided to pile on at once or over time? Do you ever feel like you’re carrying around a backpack full of sadness, anxiety, or disconnection and it’s just too heavy? Have people judged you, dismissed you, or made you feel like you’re “too much” or “not enough?” Maybe you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community or another underrepresented group, and society (or even family and friends) hasn’t always treated you kindly. Or maybe it’s just hard to even name what you’re feeling, let alone explain it to others, and that has taken a toll on your relationships, your self-worth, or your sense of peace.

If you nodded “yes” to any of that, first, you’re not alone. Second, congrats! You’ve already started your healing journey. Seriously, just searching for a therapist counts as progress!

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) along with approaches like Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and of course, good old-fashioned talk therapy. I sometimes draw on ideas from Internal Family Systems (IFS) — think Inside Out but for grown-ups. We all have different ‘parts’ of ourselves (the worried part, the angry part, the hopeful part), and therapy can help those parts work together instead of against each other. While I’m still expanding my formal training in IFS, I weave some of its concepts into EMDR and other approaches when it’s helpful for clients. My clients tell me they’ve found more balance, more hope, and fewer of the symptoms that brought them to therapy in the first place.

Here’s what you should know about me: vulnerability and authenticity are my jam. I know opening up in therapy can stir up excitement, fear, doubt, or shame (sometimes all at once). That’s why I work hard to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can show up as yourself - messy, brilliant, complicated, you. My goal is to help you uncover the answers you already carry inside so you can build the life you want (and deserve).

Clients often describe me as culturally sensitive, honest, empathetic, funny (I like to think so!), and passionate about this work. I’m also pretty direct, because sometimes the kindest thing a therapist can do is be real with you. And while not every therapist is the right fit for every person, if you’re looking for someone who will laugh with you, sit with you in the hard stuff, and walk alongside you as you heal, I’d love to find out if I’m that fit for you.
