I help clients build joy back into their lives.
It can feel easy to get stuck in a rut in this day and age: wake up, do what is expected of you, and rinse and repeat tomorrow. I work with adult and teen clients who are hoping to break this cycle in and build joy back into their lives. Anxiety and trauma are strong forces that often keep us from the things that are truly important to us. It is my hope that I can help you as you break free from those strongholds and find peace and joy in your life once again.
I specialize in working with individuals 13+ that deal with OCD and other anxiety disorders. It shows up in many different ways: contamination fears, anxiety about accidently hurting yourself or someone else, unstoppable thoughts that you might somehow ruin a really important relationship in your life, and many more. Obsessive-compulsive disorder can often feel isolating, as you start to feel like you are the only one who deals with these thoughts and that makes you a bad person (spoiler alert: neither one is true!). I am deeply passionate about helping people to navigate their OCD and regain confidence in themselves.
I am a person-centered counselor, and I work collaboratively with my clients to develop therapy goals that are important to them. I believe that you are the expert on yourself, your situation, and your inner-world; my role is to come alongside you to help you to become the best version of yourself. When I’m not here at COR, I can be found playing flute and violin, hanging out with my two orange cats, or starting another craft project while my countless unfinished ones look on.
