Healing through connection, creativity, and compassion

Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14+ years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. I began my journey at Central Michigan University (Fire up Chips!) and went on to earn my master’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies with a concentration in Couple & Family Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. After more than a decade in New England, I returned to Michigan in 2020, bringing my passion for healing and connection back home.

Over the years, I’ve worked with children, adults, and families across school, residential, and outpatient settings. With more than 200 hours of training in crisis intervention, sexual assault survivor advocacy, and trauma-focused therapies, I specialize in supporting those impacted by trauma—whether firsthand or through loved ones. I also work with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues.

My approach is collaborative and flexible, tailored to each client’s needs. I blend evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused CBT with creative tools such as music, art, and other forms of self-expression. Grounded in systems and solution-focused perspectives, I help clients recognize and build on their strengths as they move toward growth and healing. Above all, I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for change, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients through some of life’s most difficult seasons.
